The first Taco Bell opened up in 1962 in Downey, California, by a man named Glen Bell. Glen Bell later sold one of his first franchises to Kermit Becky who opened up the first franchise store in Torrance, California. By 1967 Taco Bell had opened a total of 100 stores, the company later went public with 325 stores. Taco Bell is best known for being a mexican styled fast food chain.

Pizza Hut first opened for business in June of 1958 in the town of Wichita, Texas. Founded by Dan and Frank Carney and their partner John Bender. They started the pizza parlor up with just $600 that they had borrowed from their mother. One year after opening up their first restaurant, they franchised out to Dick Hassur. Who opened his first restaurant in in Topeka, Kansas.

KFC is the acronym for Kentucky Fried Chicken. A chain that started off as roadside restaurant. The first official location opened up in 1952 in the state of Utah. KFC is one of the first fast food chains to expand internationally, opening up in England, Mexico and Jamaica by the mid 60's. Later down the road the company faced some financial problems and was sold to RJ Reynolds a tabacco company and then PEPSICO bought KFC from RJ Reynolds.
